The HH500 reader is a robust, long read range, multi-protocol UHF RFID reader for outdoor and indoor use. It employs Advanced ID's state of the art technology that combines high performance and reliability with ease of use. The RF part is conceived for world-wide compliance with local regulations, including Europe. The unit supports multiple tag protocols including EPC class 1 generation 2 and is upgradeable for future protocols. It may read tags, read and write user data into tags as well as program EPC class 1 generation 2 numbers into tags. It is suitable for all portable applications in logistic management, item tracing or inventory. The SD card download makes it optimal for data processing on the field with portable computers. The HH500 reader allows users to take full advantage of the distributed mobile data carrier capability inherent to RFID tags. Data such as origin, destination, "use by" date, warranty and service or repair history can be easily updated on the tag and therefore always traveling with the tagged item. The mobility and convenient size of the HH500 reader allows users to update tag data on items during work-in-process tasks without leaving their workstation.
