The ST500 standalone reader is a robust, long read range, multi-protocol UHF RFID reader for outdoor and indoor use. It employs Advanced ID's state of the art technology that combines high performance and reliability with ease of use. The unit supports multiple tag protocols including EPC class 1 generation 2 and is upgradeable for future protocols. It may read tags, read and write user data into tags as well as program EPC class 1 generation 2 numbers into tags. The ST500 standalone reader operates autonomously and may store locally the readings of a working day or week. On alternative, the unit can be set to send the readings online to an external unit or through several RF options available, for a true online operation. It is suitable for all applications where a fixed reader is required like in logistic management, item tracing, car access control or warehouse management.
