Diebold Nixdorf KA21 Cassette Cash Drawer consists of a cassette with a lockable lid and a base plate that is screwed onto the cash desk. The cash drawer is connected directly to the cash drawer interface of the BEETLE POS or to a POS printer with RJ12. The cassette and the base plate are connected to each other by an internal lock. Functionality - The KA21 cassette cash drawer consists of a cassette with a lockable lid and a baseplate, which is screw-mounted onto the checkout desk. The cassette and the baseplate are connected to one another through an internal lock. When POS activities are in progress, the drawer’s lid can only be opened via the system’s software. Only when the cassette is removed from the baseplate, the KA21’s lock can be used to open the drawer.
Security Concepts - Checkout desk staff can remove the cassette during shift change, allowing the drawer to function as a safe. Only the baseplate and its control electronics remain at the checkout desk. This transportable safe function guards against theft whenever the checkout desk is left unattended.
Connectivity - The KA21 cassette cash drawer connects directly at the cash drawer interface of the BEETLE POS, as well as checkout printers with a cash drawer interface (RJ12).
Arrangement of Compartments - The left half of the cassette contains four compartments for storing bank notes in a horizontal position and includes an optional protection cover. The right half contains a removeable section providing eight coin compartments, plus enough space for storing checks, large bank notes and coin rolls.
