Benefit from a fast Texas Instruments OMAP 4.1 GHz microprocessor, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB Flash memory. Optionally expand the memory up to 32GB cost-effectively, by using an SDHC card. The operating system is already pre-installed with Windows Embedded Compact or Android 4.4. You may also use the pre-licensed PAL software and easily adjust the data collection to your needs.
Individual requirements also attracted attention during the design of the mobile computer. Note: The Skorpio X4 is available with three different keyboard layouts. Choose from a 28-key numeric field, a 38-key functional field, and a 50-key alphanumeric field that offers maximum efficiency.
The Scorpio X4 also facilitates mobile exchanges: integrated Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11 a/b/g/n WLAN connectivity ensure access to databases with the appropriate network. In addition, they enable direct communication on the entire premises - in the sales area, in the warehouse, outside and in production areas. The Skorpio X4 is CCX V4-certified, so you may take advantage of a Cisco WLAN infrastructure. USB and RS232 interfaces are also integrated; Ethernet connections may be realized via the external single or multi-charging station.

Another advantage is Datalogic's patented »Green Spot« technology: successful scans are confirmed with a green light spot and enable fast and error-free reading of even larger quantities of barcodes. The durable yet compact design of the Skorpio X4 is quickly paid for in the demanding everyday life of inventory, incoming goods and dispatch: the lightweight housing is one of the most robust in its class. The Skorpio X4 withstands falls of up to 1.8 m without any damage - even on concrete. The IP64 certification ensures the reliable protection against splash-water and dust, so that even dirty surfaces in the warehouse or sudden rain showers are no problem. You do not have to worry about temperature fluctuations between -10°C to +50°C, as the Skorpio X4 will continue to work safely and reliably in this range.
The battery is easily replaced and may be recharged via an external charging tray. Alternatively, you simply charge it via the micro USB port directly on the device. For a Skorpio X4 with even more power and longer operating time, order the optional high-capacity battery with 5,200 mAh.
