Its hardware features powerful processors of the Intel X-Scale family - 400MHz, 64MB RAM and 64MB flash memory both optionally 128MB. With Microsoft Windows operating systems CE, CE.NET or Mobile these terminals reach a performance and flexibility that allows virtually any possible application. The integrated Wi-Fi interface is used to connect to company LANs with Wi-Fi 802.11b. Datalogic is a certified Cisco Premier Partner that guarantees a competent, secure and powerful application of this technology with all Falcon devices. For you existing Bluetooth applications, a Bluetooth class II version is also available.
The basic version features a standard laser scanner for 1D bar codes. From a distance of up to 90 cm, bar codes will be decoded fully automatically. Optionally, we also provide versions with long-range scanners or CMOS imagers for 2D bar codes. Additional information can be entered using the 8.9 cm 3.5 touch display 320x240 pixels, or the alphanumeric keyboard with 26 or 52 silicone keys.
Flexible configuration options make it possible to run the Falcon with Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile and thus guarantee high compatibility with existing systems. Furthermore, the Falcon offers full system support for IBM 3270/5250 terminal emulators, Microsoft Internet Explorer and professional TCP/IP communications. Management tools like Falcon Desktop, Falcon Management Utility or Wavelink Avalanche give users constant flexibility through remote device management and specialised software applications.
Naturally, a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery is included in every standard version.
