This makes the device suitable for real-time applications in all areas. Naturally, you also can use it like a conventional offline data collection device. Additionally, the device is supported by the software applications Optimizer and Data-Optimizer, which are available free of charge. With these applications, configuration and network implementation are made easy. Naturally, both software applications are included with the OptimusRW. For easy operation it is provided with an extra-large keyboard with 21 rubber keys, so that it is easily operated with gloves, and a display with 8x20 large characters, making the display simple to read even under difficult conditions. The integrated laser scanner reads all commercial bar codes easily from a distance of up to 10 cm.
