The operating system Microsoft Windows CE V5.0, the Intel XScale CPU 520 MHz and 128 MB RAM allow the OptimusPDA to adopt to individual customer requirements flexibly and also make it one of the fastest mobile data collection terminals in its class. Using the OptimusPDA is easier than thought - even for untrained users on one hand, the device offers a 8.9cm 3.5 touch screen. The transflecting colour display with 64,000 colours comes with a high contrast and an extra-bright integrated backlight. Furthermore, the 20 keys and a multifunctional joystick resemble an application-oriented mobile phone keypad which guarantees perfect ergonomic and intuitive operation.
The OptimusPDA is either equipped with a laser or a CMOS imaging engine that reads all commercial 1D and 2D bar codes. The integrated CMOS bar code scanner easily recognises even smudgy or torn 1D and 2D bar codes. A 2 mega-pixel camera can be integrated on request, offering you a totally new range of applications of unsuspected efficiency. In addition to the batch version, customers choose versions with various wireless technologies like Bluetooth, WLAN IEEE802.11b/g or WWAN GSM/GPRS that extend the effective range of users significantly.
Generous features, such as a rubber buffered housing and the IP54 protection class prepare the OptimusPDA for a wide range of applications. Its exceptionally low weight of merely 240 g inclusive bar code scanner, without battery allows tireless work over a period of many hours. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery guarantees non-stop use of up to 72 hours, while charging the device takes only three hours. An integrated card slot for MiniSD cards card not included and its large variety of interfaces offer users an endless number of backup options.
